Title:  Finance Analyst I

Essilor of America, Inc. (Essilor), is the leading manufacturer and wholesaler of prescription lenses in the United States. We currently have a Financial Analyst 1 career opportunity at our Dallas, Texas location.




The Financial Analyst I will be responsible for interfacing with Alliance and DITAC Management Teams and Finance to analyze financial and operational data in order to measure and compare profitability and identify improvement opportunities:




Month end close – The Financial Analyst will support Financial Managers to insure the accuracy of the financial information during the close process and help identify where efficiencies can be established, focusing on unit costs.


Monthly reporting – The Financial Analyst will support Financial Managers with developing management reports for their Management Team to use as a tool to monitor and control their operating expenses and analyze and report revenues.

  • Develop and maintain for business units in their responsibility comprehensive and summarized reporting package to monitor the performance each month in all critical areas
  • Develop models for labs to measure and project performance
  • Create variance analyses compared to forecast, budget, and history to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Develop a business partner relationship with Business Managers by providing them with the means to understand their KPI’s while providing them with ideas of improving their business.


Budget and Forecasting – The Financial Analyst will assist the Financial Managers to produce an annual budget and monthly forecast.

  • Produce annual budget with input from top management and operations.
  • Produce forecast in conjunction with the EOA annual forecast process


Special Projects – The Financial Analyst I will support Financial Managers on special projects for profit improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase profitability throughout the organization.  Initiate projects to achieve improvements in these areas.
  • Work on any assigned projects to produce timely, accurate, and actionable results.
  • Analyze capital projects to identify potential returns on investment.
  • Participate in the development & maintenance of BI tools.



  • Bachelor of Business Administration – major in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of Professional Experience in financial analysis or cost accounting
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent personal computer skills – spreadsheet, database, word processing
  • A self-motivator, eager to learn and grow
  • A team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the finance department
  • A fast learner, able to learn the lab business in a short time
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
  • Willing to travel and work overtime when necessary
