JOB TITLE 
Accounts Receivable Specialist  

     
MISSION - PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist must comply with established department policies and procedures.


POSITION OF THE JOB IN THE ORGANIZATION 
Department: Reporting to: Accounts Receivable Supervisor


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the collections of a small group of retail customers in the optical industry. 
  • Manage the Daily Cash Application.
  • Communicate with customers to expedite and procure payments.
  • Recognize, analyze, and resolve customer issues to optimize cash collections.
  • Work with other internal departments to resolve receivable issues in a timely manner.
  • Research customer deductions for validity.
  • Communicate with outside collection agencies as required.
  • Basic clerical duties.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE
PROFICIENCIES REQUIRED: 

  • Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus
  • Strong business partnering skills 
  • Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams. 
  • Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Previous AR experience is strongly preferred.
