Solidly reporting to SEA Logistics Manager (and dotted to Plant Manager) the Distribution Center Manager will be responsible for managing the whole set of Logistics and Warehousing activities of a green-field project and, he/she will also have direct control on customs clearance, import and export transportation and distribution and on new projects deployment.

As Project Manager (2023):

  • Ensure the Distribution Center operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organising, directing, and training Operations, Transportation and Project Management teams (more than 20 employees and 200 operators);
  • Manage daily activities of the Distribution Center matching loads, scheduling shipments, ensuring on time pick-up and delivery, ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met;
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and budgeting resources to support business growth;
  • Deploy business growth projects, managing space requirements, defining layout and equipment, building action plans and implementing WMS (SAP);
  • Manage forwarders and service providers, evaluating their performance to drive improvement and cost savings with procurement team;
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results and develop people by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
  • Support continuous improvement on productivity and volumes growth through implementation of automations and lean concepts

Must have

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in Logistics/Warehouse Operations and Project Management;
  • Masters' Degree in Logistic Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent;
  • Highly analytical, KPI driven and robust strategic mindset;
  • Ability to work independently and to deploy detailed action plans from general objectives;
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and capability of effectively manage projects & people;
  • Experience in project management and roll out, including but not limited to the organizational & people change management areas;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
