The Transitions Optical  Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting and contributing to North America marketing team’s ongoing projects.  Areas of focus include advertising, public relations, trade communications, events, digital communications, channel marketing and professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role

               

  • Supports (associate) marketing managers by coordinating components of trade shows, digital events, education events, webinars, influencer programs and point-of-sale materials (POS) campaigns.
  • Supports consumer and trade marketing teams by conducting media and digital monitoring; Evaluating PR and media alerts; and reviewing social media content.
  • Supports the channel marketing team in preparing customer presentations and campaign reporting.
  • Manages inventory of POS and Transitions(R) branded premiums.  Maintains fulfillment center POS information, uploads new items, deletes discontinued items and communicates to the commercial team. 
  • Maintains digital library of the region's creative work produced and coordinates with global brand manager for regional files uploading, access and maintenance within the brand asset management system.  Maintains tracking for marketing asset usage, expiration and replacement for the North America region.
  • Monitors promotion tracking within business intelligence systems and communicates requirements to the commercial sales team.
  • Supports marketing team leaders with administrative functions as requested. Activities may include coordinating travel needs with the travel department, managing hospitality, arranging meeting special needs.
  • Assist with marketing budgets by reconciling and budget discrepancies, requesting purchasing orders, pulling reports, etc.
  • Participates in marketing meetings, taking meeting minutes and distributing notes to participants.  Follows up and tracks action items which result from meetings.
  • Coordinates and schedules marketing meetings, both internally and with partner agencies.

 

Key Requirements (Education and Experience)

 

  • BS in marketing, communications or related field
  • Previous experience or internship in marketing, PR or communications is a plus
  • Optical industry experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Project management skills highly desired
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time to ~3 events per year, which may include evenings
