Your mission

As a Project Manager, you will actively participate in improving Essilor Canada's business processes for the Logistics and Distribution operations department. You will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of projects and programs. You will work jointly with other departments for the implementation of actions to identify opportunities for improvement, support and structure for the implementation of changes and ensure effective management of deadlines thanks to your expertise in project management.


Your main challenges

Act as a project manager for various mandates affecting several activities in the company's supply chain sector.

Management SAP systems implementations project:

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support or facilitate business requirements gathering and definition for logistics distribution, warehouse operations, demand and supply planning.
  • Accurately translates business requirements into detailed system specifications and evaluates against current system capabilities. Supporting the definition and the approval of business blueprint and RICEFS.
  • Work with Business Stakeholders and collaborate with Technical Architects to address implementation strategy, risks and designs to meet business needs.
  • Support User Acceptant Tests (UAT) through out the all project implementation to ensure enhancements satisfies business requirements. Responsible for knowledge gathering and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation.


• Management of projects related to logistics and management of warehousing and distribution operations in partnership with to planning of demand, supply: definition of processes, data validation, unit and integrated tests, transition, training of users, change management, risk assessment and management, implementation, and support for the supply chain manager, analysts for supplies and IT.

• Business intelligence and continuous improvement and project management: Establish and publish the dashboard of project portfolio management key performance indicators: definition of data sources, definition of key fields, links between the definition of key fields, data validation, definition of reports and key performance indicators and training of end users .

• Perform needs analysis, coordinate the implementation of actions and perform post-implementation follow-ups;

• Development and monitoring of the schedule, budget, quality management plan, human resources, communication plan, risk management plan;

• Establish and publish the dashboard of project portfolio management key performance indicators;

• Development of tools and methodology aimed at best management practices;

• Ensure the management of projects for the continuous improvement of operational processes in order to promote the application of best management practices and increase the efficiency of operations;

• Participate in the improvement of business processes in order to maximize performance in terms of productivity, efficiency, simplification of processes, quality and cost reduction, and thus improve overall performance;

• Perform data collection and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement or cost reduction;

• As part of projects, participate in the constant improvement of productivity levels, reduction of scrap rates, production times, simplification of processes and annual production costs;

• Promote project management and continuous improvement tools to other departments to improve logistics operations;

• Provide support and structure to other departments as part of their project management and continuous improvement activities;

• Ensure that Essilor's Health, Safety and Environment policies are reinforced and are an integral part of the business process improvement process.


Your profile


• University degree (Baccalaureate) in engineering, computer science or other relevant field;

• Master's degree in project management or certification in PMP project management (an asset);

• 5-8 years of professional experience in project management or continuous improvement with tangible and demonstrated success;

• Experience in optics (an asset);

• Strong knowledge and solid experience with SAP ERP systems and ORACLE databases;

• Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP preferred.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies; (developing and monitoring the baseline of content, schedule, budget, resources, communication, procurement, risk and quality management);

• Strong knowledge of methodologies and the use of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving);

• Sense of organization and rigor;

• Ability to work in a changing and constantly evolving environment;

• Strong ability to analyze and solve technical and organizational problems;

• Strong analytical skills and results-oriented;

• Strong ability to write texts and use computer tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS project);

• Team spirit and leadership;

• Ability to communicate and group facilitation;

• French/English bilingualism, spoken and written;

• May be called upon to travel on different shifts;

• Available for occasional travel in Canada
