Position: GLE Senior Digitalization Engineer
Location: Ladkrabang, Bangkok
Mission - Purpose of the job:
A Digitalization Engineer is a technical expert who reports directly to the Expertise/Team manager. His or her roles can be analyzed as follows:
- Pilot and lead some projects for his domain and strong support of other domains initiatives. Developing the professional approach within engineering team in his or her field of activities
- Analyzing and orienting subjects in his or her role as a technical expert in the domain with techno plan.
- Leading teams from a technical standpoint by providing clear visibility and developing standards, training and help expertise manager for skill development.
- To work with process experts and customers to develop, validate and iterate (version control-expert process owner) Process Control tools through various projects and studies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
With the added complexity of our processes and the ever-increasing expectation that our processes are robust and fully industrial, the importance of having digital tools to evaluate and control our processes is critical. In this context, the Senior digitalization engineer will play a critical role in leading activities that ensure that we can meet these expectations.
Pilot and lead some projects for his domain and strong support of other domains initiatives.
- Regular project management application
- To write and validate relevant functional and technical specifications to describe to relevant supplier(s) our needs where applicable (software and hardware)
- To take responsibility to communicate broadly within the project and the team, the development and use of these tools.
- To develop and code tool by himself when needed
Developing the professional approach on Digitalization approach
- Putting forward and initiating technical benchmarks in the field of activities concerned
- Identifying and monitoring technological innovations/new ideas and covering techno-watch
- Communicating and exchanging ideas with the IT staff on a regular basis in order to anticipate industrialization work and lines of upstream collaboration.
- Providing guideline for Datadriven approach (frontliner and engineer dashboard, process control - hot and cold data, from data dictionary to user interface, new product data introduction, software&hardware...) with prototyping for new tools , Minimum Value Product example.
Analyzing and orienting subjects in his or her role as a technical expert in the domain with techno plan.
Providing a reliable interface for techno plans concerning information and examination of possible subjects and defining the contents of the plans.
- Setting out technically and economically viable solutions that meet the customer requirements gathered and adopted in the techno plans.
- Being able to set a direction and arrange for efficient solutions to be found for complex technical problems by mobilizing teams
- Being able to present the possible scenarios briefly for scoping and persuasively and envisage various possibilities
- Putting forward internal engineering team projects.
Leading teams from a technical standpoint by providing clear visibility and developing standards, training, worldwide versioning approach and help expertise manager for skill development.
- Helping to integrate new staff members (in the form of mentoring)
- Organizing discussion and monitoring meetings within the expertise with the technical resources to enrich overall skills for Digitalization
- Providing engineer support concerning the technical and methodological aspects
- Running technical training courses , build guidelines and helping to update training courses for central and site local team.
- Suggesting digitalization skills improvements of the team to the GLE expertise managers
- Easily integrating new knowledge concerning the professional field
Requirements:
- Must possess programming skillset in data, control or industrial system (C/Python/Java/BI like Qlick/SCADA like Ignition/PLC...etc)
- Must understand IT architecture and how each component work under it
- Must be able to use English as working language for verbal and written
- Must experience building digital applications (dashboard, data or equipment control)
- Must be able to adapt to the changes and good interpersonal skills
- Plus with Computer science, IT, Mechatronics or related engineering background
- Plus to possess below one or multiple fields knowledge or experiences:
- Data dashboarding:
- Acquire data from equipment, Transform/process, Data display (BI)
- Data analyzing models (SPC, statistical), Predictive modeling
- Equipment control:
- PLC, industrial PC, Machine data flow, SCADA / Supervision
- Machine setting and motion control
- Network and database and their IT security rules:
- Different type of network;
