Title:  Sr. Associate Manager, Analytics

As part of the Marketing Analytics team, this person will be responsible for providing business performance insights and strategic recommendations to Marketing and Executive Leadership. These will include opportunities to grow our business, tracking and evaluating the performance of our yearly sales objectives and marketing projects, and optimizing existing initiatives, by use of data analytics and business modeling.


Areas of focus are varied an include: sales and marketing objectives performance in B2B channels of distribution, B2B and B2C purchasing patterns and product preference analytics, consumer media performance including digital marketing analytics, as well as market and competitive intelligence.


To do so, this person is expected to:


  • Develop a strong understanding of our business, our data systems and our BI tools.
  • Be able to manipulate and combine large amounts of data through tools such as SQL, BigQuery, Alteryx, R Studio, Qlik or Tableau, to use in data analytics and data mining.
  • Provide Business Intelligence to the Marketing and Executive Management through the creation of recurrent and ad-hoc reports and dashboards. This will require close collaboration with Finance, Pricing and the Sales Operations teams to ensure data accuracy in the reports, as well as to get an understanding of the business behind the data in order to provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Utilize diverse data analytics techniques such as business modeling, econometrics, customer and market segmentations, optimization, linear programming, decision tree modeling, A/B testing, ROI calculations, time-series forecasting, and any other modeling or statistical technique as deemed necessary.
  • Support the annual strategic planning process in two steps: (1) recommending areas of business opportunity by combining findings from sales diagnoses, competitive intelligence, industry trends and market research; and (2) working with the marketing and sales teams in the ideation, analysis, forecast and ROI evaluation of next year’s proposed initiatives and programs intended to address those opportunities.
  • Build strong partnerships and work closely with the Market Research team, the rest of the Marketing department, the Reporting and Analytics Office, Sales Operations, Finance, Pricing, the Digital Acceleration Team, IT, as well as with our counterparts in the frames, sunglass and Managed Vision Care divisions.



  • Intellectual curiosity to proactively explore data, solve problems, challenge existing way of doing things, formulate new hypotheses, and rigorously analyze them
  • Strong communication and business writing skills with experience in presenting and defending business cases and data-driven recommendations to Executive leadership.
  • Degree in Economics, Management Science, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research with experience or background in business, strategy or marketing; or a degree in Business or Marketing with a strong and proven experience or background in data analytics and the use of statistics. Graduate degree; or an MBA focused on data analytics preferred but not required if the candidate has relevant work experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role; less years of experience required if the candidate has a graduate degree.
