Title:  Plant Operating System Manager

POSITION PURPOSE
 
To lead all the IT efforts related to the transaction of 300M pieces of lenses per year (inbound and outbound) to find transactional problems, establish the root causes, fix these transactions and prevent them from happening again. To manage and support projects related to plant operating systems in North America to guarantee the successful requirements of 50M lenses per year and 100K different SKUs. To be the gatekeeper of the global manufacturing instance in North America.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage projects that implement new Global Manufacturing Instance of Oracle EBS for new plants in North America.
  • To manage all activities within the Global Instance which houses the Oracle EBS system that is used by all plants in North America.
  • To drive for low transactional inventory variances by working with different IT departments and with the distribution centers.
  • To find the root cause of transactional variances and to make sure that the right changes are implemented in the systems, by means of projects or system enhancements, in order to prevent these cases from happening again.
  • To establish new tools to help track where new transaction flows and problems can occur.
  • To manage and ensure DRPREV’s forecast is processed daily for our plants.
  • To validate and test all proposed solutions related to Global Manufacturing and transactional files.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years' supply chain transactions systems experience required (Oracle ERP, Oracle EBS and PKMS)
  • Deep understanding of inbound and outbound transactions between Oracle ERP and PKMS Manhattan WMS required.
  • High level of problem-solving ability required.
  • SQL Server and Toad Database knowledge required.
  • Ability to interact effectively within a wide range scale of management levels.
  • Good organizational skills, multitask oriented with attention to detail and follow-through.
