Title:  Project Coordinator

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

The Project Coordinator will support the fast growing Strategic Programs Office division within Essilor of America. The Project Coordinator works under the direction of a Project Manager. The Project Coordinator supports all administrative tasks of a project such as scheduling, hosting weekly meetings, administrative tasks, etc. In addition, the Project Coordinator helps keep all parts of the project process organized and running according to plan. The Project Coordinator will report results and issues to the Project Manager on a regular basis taking every opportunity to avoid or minimize potential issues to the project. Working closely with members of the commercial and business unit teams, the Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the execution and operationalization of assigned projects. The Project Coordinator may support multiple projects under multiple project managers. Projects of smaller and more simplistic scope may be managed turnkey by the Project Coordinator.  The successful candidate is an experienced project coordinator, comfortable working cross-functionally to execute project plans with minimal oversight.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Leads execution and operationalization of strategic projects while juggling multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Organizes meetings, information and all project documentation in a clear and consistent manner to support the team’s visibility and understanding of project details
  • Manages with limited oversight, project resources to ensure team alignment and engagement for on-time and on-budget execution of projects
  • Manages the development of business process flows and business requirements as needed
  • Continuously communicates status updates, critical path milestones, project timeline and risks; track project changes and adjust schedule as needed
  • Works closely with IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Lab Operations, Marketing, Finance, Commercial teams and External Vendors to develop standard operating procedures to support the overall health of the solutions
  • Works with Business unit teams and QA to develop test strategy, test cases, and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • In coordination with other SPO team members, maintains and aligns understandings of operational constraints and characteristics of each EOA Channel into opportunity evaluations
  • Works to resolve complex problems with a cross-functional team where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
  • Other duties as directed by Manager and Project Manager

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of project management and business analysis experience required; Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred
  • Ophthalmic, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • A self-motivator with an intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow, able to learn on their own
  • Proven track record of understanding and satisfying customer requirements
  • Proven track record of analytical, organizational, coordinating activities and project management skills
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • PC Proficiency required – with advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project Scheduling tools, Emails, Calendar and Visio
  • Experienced with ERP software, such as Oracle or SAP is a plus
