Position Summary – Purpose and Objectives of the Role

In line with the global vision of Essilor to provide better life through better sight to all the people around the world, 2.5 NVG is a new inclusive business entity aiming to provide access to affordable solutions to the people across the world who are currently facing Uncorrected Refractive Error and cannot have access to vision correction. 2.5 NVG aims to do this by providing products/solutions adapted to the needs of this segment of people. 2.5 NVG will be an inclusive business aiming to be sustainable and profitable.

Main Focus and Key Areas of Responsibilities

Responsible for the following business / functional activities of India business unit:

  1. Primarily will be responsible for working with all the project/business partners of 2.5 NVG.
  2. Will develop relevant business partnership through assessment, project proposal/budget development, negotiation/continuous dialogue, contracting, activity planning, monitoring, mid-course correction, End-of-Project activities, if any.
  3. Will take key initiatives to support all business partners through marketing and promotional activities on behalf of 2.5 NVG.
  4. S/He would apportion required amount of time in a calendar month to work with all the 2.5 NVG distributors and their field persons in this territory.
  5. To develop and expand retail base for all kinds of 2.5 NVG products in this territory.
  6. S/he will take care of all the primary and secondary sales to be generated from the territory.
  7. S/he will ensure timely payment and collection from all business partners.
  8. S/he is also expected to actively take part in all business related documentation, planning and reporting activities.
  9. S/He will coordinate with his reporting supervisor for all types of necessary reporting(On-line and Off Line and Electronic/Paper based reporting)
  10. S/he will develop new businesses from the same territory.
  11. S/he will coordinate for all marketing and promotional activities for 2.5 NVG products and services in this territory.
  12. To support the partners to organize all relevant field/trade/retail promotional activities.

 

Additional skills/responsibilities:

  1. S/he will also coordinate for any other 2.5 NVG business models from the same territory.
  2. S/he will extend all sorts of support to other 2.5 NVG staff working for other business models in the same territory.
  3. As per requirement and instruction from Reporting Manager, S/he will also work for other business models of 2.5 NVG in the same or any other territories.
  4. To manage and maintain cordial relationship with all partners in the region.
  5. Continuously suggest to superiors about improvement of services delivery through business models.
  6. Multi tasking
  7. With the increase of business from this territory in future, s/he may be provided with additional supporting manpower. In such case s/he will do the man-management for his territory.

 

Candidate Profile

Knowledge / Experience

Divisional or BU Experience

Sales background with experience in channel sales, institutional sales/B2B sales/Channel Sales/ campaigns, product promotions/ collections/ end to end co-ordination with all departments, Experience of handling distributor

Experience / Track Record

  • 4-7  years working experience

Industries Experience

One or more of the following:

  • Eye care
  • Medical device
  • Healthcare
  • FMCG/FMCD

Geographical Experience

Must have India market experience,

APAC or beyond collaboration experience be advantageous

Qualifications

Education / Qualification / Certification

Graduate + MBA,  Optical background preferred

Language

Proficiency in English, Hindi and local language. Multilingual will be advantage.
