Position Summary – Purpose and Objectives of the Role

To meet all the Ophthalmologist, Optometrist in the region (exsisting and potential clients) & will help open new doors (Hospitals, Independent Clinics) and start selling 2.5 NVG range of Products.

Main Focus and Key Areas of Responsibilities

In line with the global vision of Essilor to provide better life through better sight to all the people around the world, 2.5 NVG is a new inclusive business entity aiming to provide access to affordable solutions to the people across the world who are currently facing Uncorrected Refractive Error and cannot have access to vision correction. 2.5 NVG aims to do this by providing products/solutions adapted to the needs of this segment of people. 2.5 NVG will be an inclusive business aiming to be sustainable and profitable.

Responsible for the following business / functional activities of India business unit:

 

To meet Ophthalmologist of the zone. To  ensure they are aware of the details of our offering (products , services) and how different they are w.r.t. the trade. To help hospitals, Independent Ophthals dispense 2.5NVG range of products which would make them more effective and profitable. To help conduct effective need based activities ( training, Branding , Marketing )  for the target audience and ensure they become our Brand ambassadors.

  •  S/He would apportion required amount of time in a calendar month to work with all the 2.5 NVG distributors and their field persons in this territory.
  • S/he will take care of all the primary and secondary sales to be generated from the territory.
  • S/he will ensure timely payment and collection from all business partners.
  • S/he is also expected to actively take part in all business related documentation, planning and reporting activities.
  • S/He will coordinate with his reporting supervisor for all types of necessary reporting(On-line and Off Line and Electronic/Paper based reporting)
  • S/he will develop new businesses from the same territory.
  • Willing to travel extensively.

  • Alignment with 2.5 NVG’s mission and milestones
  • Implementation of the project/business model for 2.5 NVG
  • Ability to manage more than one project/business models simultaneously
  • Accountable for new account opening (Hospital/ independent clinics) direct and indirect
  • Ensure the achievement of defined business and investment objectives in terms of Value and Volume.
  • Ensure growth in business on monthly/annual basis from his territory.
  • Contribute to the creation of new wearers in line with the mission of 2.5 NVG

 

Candidate Profile

Knowledge / Experience

Divisional or BU Experience

Medical representative is preferred with existing contacts of Opththalmoloigist.

Experience / Track Record

  • 3-5  years working experience

Industries Experience

One or more of the following:

  • Eye care
  • Medical device
  • Healthcare

Geographical Experience

Must have India market experience,

APAC or beyond collaboration experience be advantageous

Qualifications

Education / Qualification / Certification

Graduate + MBA,  Optical background preferred

B.Optom, Diploma in Optometry can be considered

Language

Proficiency in English and local language. Multilingual will be advantage.
